the big California drought by Reignbow singleton
In the State of California, we are experiencing major water issues. It has been said that we have one year of water left. Us Californians need to step up and save as much water as we can, rather than wasting a gallon of water by keeping the water running. Here are multiples way we all can help:
- Keep WATER in the pool, when playing, it will save WATER!
- If you accidentally drop ice cubes, don't throw them in the sink. Drop them in a house plant.
- Take shorter baths and showers!
- While you wait for hot WATER, collect the running portion and use it to WATER plants!
- Use dishwasher more frequently!
- Make sure faucets aren't dripping!
- Use a pool cover to keep your pool clean!
- One drip every second adds up to five gallons per day! Check your faucets and shower heads for leaks!
- Drop tissues in the trash instead of flushing them to save WATER!
- Washing dark clothes in cold WATER saves WATER and energy!
- Instead of building a private pool, join a community pool!
- Plant in the spring and fall when the WATERing requirements are lower!
- Turn off WATER while brushing your teeth!
- Avoid recreational water toys that require a constant flow of WATER!
